Each Institute may value the CPD hours differently, as a rough guide 1 CPD hour is worth 1 CPD point, however you might want to check with the Institute you are submitting your points to. The Institute of Asset Management is yet to define the points values.
The exact number of CPD hours we specify are a guideline of how many CPD hours the courses are worth. For example, we have a recommended reading list and reading these books as part of your course preparation will count towards your CPD hours.

Why do I need CPD Points?
CPD points are used towards professional registrations such as Chartered status. The Institute of Asset Management is on track to offering Chartered Asset Management status and have recently announced their Register of Professionals.
