Formal assessment is by a multiple choice examination set by the IAM, it is 3 hours in duration. The AMA will host an examination on the final day of this course through Pearson Vue’s OnVue for remote courses or on dedicated laptops for face-to-face courses.

The exam is run entirely independent of the training and may be taken following our course or at the delegates own choosing at a later public examination. AMA alumini have a very high percentage pass rate to date.

The Diploma tests the understanding and application of Asset Management theory. It is crucial that you have a good understanding of the principles of Asset Management before commencing the Diploma course.

The IAM Certificate is not required before sitting the Diploma, however we would recommend that you hold the Certificate to check you are ready for the next step. We include our eLearning Certificate course with this course for anyone who needs a refresh.

Our course consists of 7 day advanced Asset Management training.

3 days online followed by 4 days at the Tower Hotel, London. 13th – 15th Oct and 10th – 13th November 2026.

Our IAM Diploma course consists of seven modules. The modules are delivered in small classes of 8 to 14 people, in two blocks of three and four days each. Each day consists for 7+ learning hours. For classroom courses we host an examination on the final day for those who choose to sit the exam and will provide laptops in the venue.

This is not a top-up course, delegates are expected to have IAM Certificate level knowledge before taking our course, all 7 days are deep dives into advanced Asset Management. We supply IAM Certificate eLearning for free with this course to ensure you are ready.

Training is based around individual and small group projects, from developing an AM Policy through planning for ISO 55000 certification, to modelling demand and running a contingency planning exercise.

Our classes provide a wonderful opportunity to share experiences with your peers from other organisations, sectors and backgrounds, and develop your personal skills and professional network. They are taught by expert practitioners who have applied strategic Asset Management thinking and practices in real business situations.

There is pre-reading before attending the course, on-line research and preparation required between the two blocks, and small group projects to complete afterwards, with tutor support and feedback.
